Pit Viper Motorcycle Dolly & Stand Reviews
6 of 6 people found the following review helpful Good value for the money with very few compromises., Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Pit Viper Motorcycle Dolly & Stand At less than $100 when I bought this dolly, I wondered exactly what kind of quality I would encounter when it arrived. To my relief, despite a few budget minded features, this product really does offer excellent value. The build quality is very robust (that shipping cost is due to its 70 pound weight) and it supports the motorcycle well. The wheel tray comes in two pieces, but with the beefy connecting supports and ample hardware, I have no worry about it holding up to the weight of the bike. Assembly wasn't difficult, just time consuming. The assembly is pretty straight forward, which is good because the manual is pretty poor. There is only one single illustration - the exploded view on the back page. I lost some parts in transit. However, they were quick to replace them. Great company to work with. Solid Dolly, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Pit Viper Motorcycle Dolly & Stand Bought this dolly with the goal of getting my bike up onto it, and then being able to roll it back against the rear wall of my one car garage so I could pull the car in as well.Good News: it does allow me to do that. Bad News: the casters leave alot to be desired. They are plastic, and while able to hold the weight of the bike, they are not all that easy to roll around the garage. Before I ordered this, I had gutted out my garage to clear a space, and gave the floor a serious sweeping to clear out any accumulated debris. The casters still have a hard time rolling across the floor. Maybe if I had one of the glossy, seeled-concrete floors it would be better, but there's not much I can do about that now. My biggest concern is that when I'm pushing or pulling on the bike to get it to roll that I'll push/pull the bike off the stand. I secured it with some heavy duty cam straps to lesson my concerns, so that helps. I plan on only using... Read more |
