I do not believe them to be of such quality that they would not break if impacted, but if you are prone to dropping your motorcycle; you have more problems than cheap mirrors.I have seen similar mirrors go for $40-$70 and these are pretty much the same thing for a fraction of the price. They are perfectly functional and are every bit as good as their more expensive counterparts that are made the same way. I bought them for the look and they fit the bill for my particular needs. Plus, they were so inexpensive I could easily buy another pair even if they do break. Also, I don't even need to turn my head because they provide such a wide angle to view. I recommend them to anyone on two wheels. Great product. They do the job, sure, but they're cheap. The quality is about on par with what you would pick up at a flea market for $10 before bartering the salesman down to $5. The quality of the mirror reflection is about that of which you would expect in a carnival fun house, very wavy and distorted. One of the mirrors has visible edges/ridges in the glass which isn't smooth; it will likely chip or break with vibration over time. They aren't worth the money to ship back for a replacement or to buy another "brand" elsewhere - it'd be more money wasted on mirrors you already over paid for. It's also not worth it to eat the $30 and buy a higher quality set elsewhere, because it just adds $30 overhead! However as mentioned, they do the job. I have mounted these as under-bar mirrors on my DRZ400SM. I hate the look of any mirrors... Read more |
