The Scorpion EXO-900 Transformer Motorcycle Helmet features an aerodynamic fiberglass-Kevlar shell. Each vent port utilizes a toggle open-close system for user ease while riding. An aero skirt at the chin reduces internal face wind and the liner is Scorpions ever-popular KwikWick moisture wicking material. The concept of a modular motorcycle helmet is nothing new to the industry, but the Scorpion EXO-900 has taken it three steps forward. Step one: adjust the fit along the jaw line using the AirFit inflation system. Step 2: EverClear anti-fog coating on all internal shield surfaces. That means both sides of the SpeedView sun visor and the inside surface of the face shield. Step 3: remove the entire face canopy and attach the supplied peak visor for an open-face configuration. The Scorpion EXO-900 Transformer Motorcycle Helmet is truly a 3-in-1! The EXO-900 is a full face helmet, a flip front modular, and a helmet all in one. EverClear no-fog face shield. Optically-correct clear shield with state-of-the art fog free technology. Anti-scratch hardened coating. Retractable SpeedView sun visor. Internal sun visor changes positions with the simple flip of a switch. Both face shield and SpeedView sun visor can easily be removed or installed for cleaning and/or replacement, no tools needed. I live in Seattle, and ride 12 months a year. I have ridden through rain that if I had worn my old Shoei, would have had rain inside the visor. No problems with the EXO 900. As I sometimes ride from before the sun comes up, until breakfast, the built in sun shade is perfect. No more fiddling with different visors, or trying to put on sunglasses while wearing a helmet.As Scorpion helmets do size differently than other brands I have owned, I strongly suggest putting one on your head BEFORE making a purchase. You will be much happier on that first 300 mile ride. Another feature I like was the section designed for the two-way radio. I was able to modify the cover (without altering the actual helmet) in order to install my Chatterbox headset. However, they continue to innovate and provide products at more than competitive prices. I have definitely worn lighter helmets, but for the price this transformer is great. It is a tight fit, so please order one size larger than your reg helmet size.It is a warm helmet. The venting is not adequate for very hot weather. That being said, this is a transformer. So, if the weather is that hot....just flip it up (cooling problem solved). Being a transformer, the helmet can turn into a 3/4 helmet. However, unlike the shark transformer if you want to turn it into a full 3/4 you actually have to take off the face piece. I wish they would have taken a note from Shark and allowed the full transformation to take place without removing anything from the helmet because that is just one more piece you have to keep track of. Scorpion definitely has my loyalty. All the gear that I ride with is scorpion. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful  A good helmet when stuff's not falling off of it, This review is from: EXO-900 WHITE MD I bought the Scorpion EXO-900 helmet about 11 months ago, and while I genuinely like the helmet, the quality seems to be questionable. The first time I used the helmet, the black plastic that runs along the bottom of the helmet broke on both sides. The warranty people admitted a manufacturing error and were willing to fix it, although it cost me almost $15 to ship it to them for the repair. This past week, the plastic piece that holds the check padding in place broke off. This time they are willing to send me a new part, but I'm not entirely sure how easy it will be replacing this part (although I'm glad I don't have to send it back a second time). I don't ride all that regularly, and I am extremely gentle with my helmets. It always sits on a shelf in my house on in my office; it doesn't get locked on the bike or manhandled in any way--yet stuff keeps breaking.
